Marathon 6

Finish Time: 3:48
Pace: 8:42
Temp: 46 degrees
Conditions: Dry and Sunny
Run For: Dan

Recap:

What a difference a couple weeks makes. Today the weather was perfect for running and I felt good the whole time. I definitely got tired near the end but was able to keep a pretty consistent pace through all 26 miles. I can pretty much attribute today’s feelings to all the positive messages and encouragement my TC family sent my way since Marathon #5.

When it comes to being tough and never giving in on a bad day no matter how hard it gets, Dan is a shining example. I was able to see firsthand last year Dan’s strength, determination and overall attitude to not give up or give in. Like a lot of my TC family, they just have this thing about them that is amazing. I can’t tell you how inspiring it is and how much this helps me when it comes to running. Each and every marathon in this 26.2 For You is something I want to do and need to do for all who suffer, yet battle each and every day. Dan is just one of these IBD Warriors that I am truly honored to run for and even more honored to call a friend. He has already committed to riding again with TC in November and I can’t wait to see him crush that course and show colitis that he controls his life, not this awful disease.

Marathon #6 is in the books and I feel great! THANK YOU Dan for allowing me to share your story and for being the ultimate IDB Warrior that you are. 26.2 For You! This 26.2 was for you Dan!
